Ed Fuller, D.V.M.

Dr. Fuller is the founder of Pet Menders Animal Hospital, established in South Boulder in 1993. He was born in Coral Gables, Florida in 1959 but his parents moved to Littleton, Colorado when he was 3 so he doesn’t remember much about the sunny beach life in Florida!

He began his undergraduate education at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas on a swimming scholarship, and graduated from SMU in 1981 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology. After graduating from Colorado State University in 1986 with his Veterinary Medicine and Surgery degree, he began practicing veterinary medicine in the wilds of South Dakota. He moved his family back to Colorado in the late 1980’s.

Ed and his wife, Jane have 3 adult married children and two dogs, Gracie and Bella. They are entering into the grandchildren stage of life, which is a reminder that parenting is for the younger generation. They are both involved in their church, mentoring those who desire to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dr. Fuller is licensed to practice veterinary medicine, dentistry, and surgery and received advanced post-graduate training in surgery, ultrasound, acupuncture and laparoscopy. He is a current member of AVMA, CVMA, LPVMS and VSLS.

Todd Russell, D.V.M.

Dr. Russell purchased Pet Menders in 2019, having previously been an associate veterinarian since 2003. He hails from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Born and raised in this quaint, small, college town, he enjoyed moderate success during his parochial years with his most productive years coming during his sophomore and senior campaigns. Todd went on to do his undergraduate work at Michigan State University, obtaining a Zoology degree with honors in a mere four years. He decided his Spartan years were not behind him and continued on to the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University, graduating with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.

At that time, Dr. Russell decided to leave the great state of Michigan and move to Colorado to start his professional career. Initially starting in the Thornton area for his first few years, Dr. Russell has found a home and settled into the Pet Menders family.

Personally, Todd enjoys a variety of activities, most involving chasing a ball around a field, court, or perhaps even a parking lot (much like our canine friends). Todd also enjoys passing time watching his beloved Michigan sports teams—Spartans, Red Wings, Tigers and Lions.

Todd resides in Firestone where he raises his daughter, Berkleigh, a future aspiring Veterinarian and his son, Maverick, a future aspiring Maverick. The glue that holds it all together is a 5-year-old mutt named Saylor.

Carla Mack, D.V.M.

Dr. Mack has been working at Pet Menders since fall of 2021. Born and raised in Colorado, her love for animals was ingrained in her from an early age and she dreamed of being a vet since she was 5 years old.

She attended Colorado State University for her undergraduate and veterinary school. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After graduation she practiced in Norfolk, Virginia while her husband was in the Service. She and her family moved back to Colorado to stay in 2018.

Dr. Mack’s house is a bustling zoo with 2 dogs and 3 cats- each with their own unique personalities. Her fellow ‘zookeepers’ are her husband and 2 children. When she is not in the clinic, you will find her engaged in various activities with her children, fostering their curiosity and love of animals.

Susan Meadows, D.V.M.

Dr. Meadows comes to us as a seasoned veterinarian with 24 years of experience. She graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.

Allie is a 3-year-old Cane Corso adopted from the Denver Animal Shelter and Max, a 2-year-old Lab/Doberman mix adopted from the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. Her home is complete with an older kitty named Jewel and a kitten named Mosey adopted from the Dumb Friends League.

At home she is surrounded by the love of her furry and scaly companions—a dog, two cats, and a leopard gecko. They bring endless happiness and teach her invaluable lessons about compassion and empathy every day. Outside of work, she indulges in her creative side through painting, finding solace in the great outdoors through camping adventures, and immersing herself in the magic of live music. Additionally, she cherishes moments spent with horses, whether it’s caring for them or simply basking in their majestic presence.
